Art Ate New York - Open call for STREET ART

Source: http://www.artistswanted.org/

This is a call for participants in the renegade art competition Art Ate New York. Create something public, profound and just left-of-legal and you will have a chance of winning loot/fame. We are looking for renegade sculpture, poster-work, performance, spray-can-art or anything else we haven't thought of. It must be publicly placed.

What We Want:
Public work that consumes this town. You get points for aesthetic, placement, ambition and over-all brilliance. Document your work with photos or video and submit it to us by September 21st. The best entries will be featured online. The chosen one will be famous.

The Judges:
Your work will be judged by: iO of Overspray Magazine, Christopher Hacket of The Madagascar Institute, William Etundi of TheDanger, Garrison Buxton and Ray Cross of Ad-Hoc Arts and Jason Goodman of 3rd Ward Brooklyn.

The Prize:
The winner gets a three months supply of Redbull to fuel your art, a three month membership to 3rd Ward and a trophy so heavy and fabulous that you will need three friends to help you carry it home.

The Event:
The best entries will be shown at a party/exhibition Friday, October 19th at 40-42 Thompson St., Manhattan. The full event details will be released in October but expect massive art projections, DJ's and bands and a wild awards ceremony all hosted by TheDanger.

Open to: Anyone in the NYC area.
Deadline: Friday, September 21st.
Entry Fee: Absoultely Free
