Yesterday the Italian parliament voted against the start of a new inquiry on police brutality at the G8 summit in Genoa in 2001. A month earlier, the same parliament publicly condemned the repression in Burma, yet nothing gets done about the same kind of repression when it happens home. Once again, Italy shows its real undemocratic face.
