International Prize for Performance

Here's the call, if you feel like wiggling your ass in Trento, Italy:


On September 9th and 10th, 2005, at the Centrale di Fies (Dro, Trento) the final round of the International Prize for Performance will be conducted, organized by the Galleria Civica di Arte Contemporary of Trento, in collaboration with Drodesera and sustained by the Foundation Cassa di Risparmio of Trento and Rovereto.
The first prize, awarded by an international jury presided by Marina Abramovic, consists of 5,000 (five thousand) euro. There will also be smaller prizes for other participants.
Artists of all nationalities and origins from every formative context, thirty-five years and under are able to participate in the final selection.
The performance projects must be sent to the Galleria Civica in Trento via mail or email by July 31st, 2005.
Artists who are residents in Triveneto, Lombardia, Emilia Romagna and Austrian Tyrol have the possibility for a privileged access road to enter the finals, participating in a selection cycle that will be unveiled at the Galleria Civica in Trento every Thursday and Friday evening from June 16th to July 29th.
